A Generation Disrupted
Thousands of medical students in Gaza are unable to afford their tuition fees, with more than 70% directly affected by the war.
Displacement, loss of income, and severe financial hardship have placed many at risk of delaying or discontinuing their studies.
Supporting their education is essential not only for their future, but also for sustaining the healthcare workforce Gaza urgently needs.
Samir Scholarship 2026 provides selected medical students with tuition support for a full academic year. Students are selected from the Islamic University of Gaza, Al-Azhar University–Gaza, and Al-Israa University according to clearly defined eligibility criteria.
The selection process is conducted with the highest standards of transparency, fairness, and confidentiality, ensuring that every application is assessed objectively while protecting students’ personal information and dignity.
Scholarship funds are transferred directly to the students’ university accounts through the official university system.
Ninety medical students received partial tuition support to help them continue their education.
Ten medical students received full tuition sponsorship.
