Samir Foundation – Mentorship Program (Mentee Application Form)

At Samir Foundation, we believe in empowering young minds through guidance, learning, and shared experience. Our Mentorship Program connects motivated medical students and graduates from Palestine with experienced professionals who can support their personal, academic, and career growth.

Our program offers several formats to meet different needs.

  • 1:1 Mentorship connects a single mentee with a well-qualified mentor who will provide personalized guidance throughout their journey. This track is highly competitive due to its individualized nature.
  • Group Mentoring brings together multiple mentees who share similar career paths and goals, pairing them with a mentor who can offer collective guidance, insights, and direction about their chosen field.

What to Expect from Your Mentor

Your Mentor Will:

  • Listen to your goals and help you develop realistic plans to achieve them
  • Share their experience and knowledge in medicine, healthcare, and career development
  • Provide guidance on studies, exams, applications, and career decisions
  • Offer encouragement and support during challenging times
  • Connect you with relevant resources and opportunities when possible

Your Mentor Will NOT:

  • Solve all your problems or make decisions on your behalf
  • Provide financial support or material resources
  • Be available 24/7 or respond instantly
  • Guarantee exam success or job placements
  • Take responsibility for your academic performance

What We Expect from You

Your Responsibilities is to:

Be Committed:

  • Attend scheduled mentoring sessions
  • Arrive prepared and on time
  • Complete any agreed-upon tasks between sessions
  • Communicate promptly if you need to reschedule

Be Engaged:

  • Bring questions and topics you want to discuss
  • Share challenges, concerns, and successes openly
  • Take notes during sessions
  • Follow through on action points and goals

Be Professional:

  • Communicate respectfully with your mentor
  • Value their time and expertise
  • Maintain confidentiality
  • Provide feedback to help improve the program

Be Patient:

  • Understand that growth takes time
  • Recognize that mentors are volunteers with other commitments
  • Be flexible if technical issues arise during calls
