Samir Foundation and FAJR Global Deliver Surgical Clinical Training Program for Medical Students in Southern Gaza

Hands-On Surgical Training Reaches Medical Students in Southern Gaza

The Samir Foundation, in continued partnership with FAJR Global, has launched the Surgical Clinical Training Program at the Basic Level, bringing structured hands-on medical training to students in the southern Gaza Strip. This program represents a natural and necessary extension of the foundation’s ongoing efforts to ensure that medical students across all parts of Gaza have access to meaningful clinical education, regardless of where they are located or what conditions surround them. By reaching students in the south, the program affirms that no part of the Strip will be left without educational support.

At the core of this initiative is a carefully designed series of practical training sessions that give students direct exposure to surgical and clinical skills in a structured, supervised setting. Rather than theoretical instruction alone, the program prioritizes experiential learning, placing students in scenarios that mirror real clinical environments and preparing them for the realities they will face as practicing doctors. Each session builds upon the last, following a progressive curriculum that strengthens both technical competence and clinical confidence, ensuring students graduate from the program better equipped to serve their patients and their communities.

The Samir Foundation firmly believes that quality medical education must continue even in the most challenging of circumstances, and this program, implemented hand in hand with FAJR Global, is a direct expression of that belief. By investing in the practical skills of today’s students, both organizations are investing in the strength and resilience of Gaza’s healthcare system for years to come. The foundation is proud of every student who has committed themselves to this training, and remains dedicated to expanding and deepening such programs in the pursuit of a stronger, better-prepared medical workforce across the Gaza Strip.
