Gaza City, June 2025 — In a groundbreaking move to support the future of healthcare in Gaza, Samir Foundation, in partnership with Human Smile, has officially launched the Medical Hub, the first dedicated educational space for medical students in the Gaza Strip.

Amidst ongoing destruction, repeated displacement, and lack of basic infrastructure, the Medical Hub emerges as a vital lifeline for aspiring doctors. The space offers uninterrupted electricity, high-speed internet, and a safe, stable environment where students can study, take exams, and participate in workshops — a significant shift from having to study by candlelight in makeshift shelters.

“This is more than just a building,” says Ezz Aldeen Lulu, Founder of Samir Foundation. “It’s a symbol of hope. A place where resilience meets opportunity. Our medical students have lost their homes, their families — yet they continue to strive. This Hub is our way of telling them: you are not alone.”

The Medical Hub currently accommodates 40 students at a time and is designed to operate throughout the day, offering flexible access to suit the needs of students across different clinical and academic stages.

This initiative was made possible thanks to the unwavering support of Human Smile, whose belief in the mission and quick response made the dream a reality.

With Gaza’s healthcare system under immense strain, the need for skilled and well-trained medical professionals has never been greater. The Medical Hub is part of a broader vision by Samir Foundation to equip and empower Gaza’s future doctors, ensuring they can rise above adversity and serve their communities with compassion and excellence.
